Action needed: BB% deal start condition changed

Recently 3Commas changed the Bollinger Bands %B deal start condition, BB% for short.
If you have one or more bots using that condition created before this change they will run without problems.

However, if you try to edit or copy the bot you will receive a message similar to this:

Error trying to copy a bot with the old BB% settings

This change in the format of the BB% deal start condition also affects Bot Assistant when the bot uses BAQL:PS action. Bot Assistant won’t be able to update your bots until you update the BB% deal start condition manually.

If you check Self Service page or you have linked BA Telegram bot you will see a message like this:

[3C Error]: Other error occurred: record_invalid Invalid parameters {strategy_list: [The property #/options\ contains additional properties [time, points] outside of the schema when none are allowed]}. – Attempted to set these pairs: [USDT_ADA, USDT_MATIC]

How to know if you have to change the bot

If in the detail page of your bot you have the BB% expressed in the following format, see image below, you must edit and update the BB% settings of the bot asap.

Edit your bot, adjust the BB% settings, review the rest of the settings and once ready save the changes.

If in the detail page of your bot you have the BB% expressed in the following format, see image below, your bot is fine. You don’t need to edit the bot.

Note: Among all bots in the dashboard, Snipper bot is the only currently using BB% in deal start conditions.

How to be notified of Bot Assistant errors

You can catch any BA errors early by linking your telegram account to the BA Telegram bot. This bot will provide messages whenever an error occurs and whenever the orchestrator signals either start or stop your bots.
